Economic Development Minister (MZHE) Valdrin Luka, following the meeting he had with the chairman of the Kosovo Chamber of Economics (OEK), Safet Gerjaliu, has said that the delay in translating the contract for construction of the thermocentral plant “Kosova e Re” is due to technical causes.
The contract has 1,000 pages, the translation has begun but will last up to 3 months, translation is making our office for project management, I don't think there's a high cost”, Luka stressed.
Periscope has contacted the Kosovo Economic Development Ministry office several days ago, of which the contract is said to be international and signed in English.
MZHE Information Office adviser Victory Rexhepi had indicated that following demands to return the contract for Thermocentral Power into Albanian, such will be done.
She even said that the translation procedure would take 5 or 6 months.
And OEK chairman Safet Gerjaliu has said the country needs political stability.
According to him, signing the contract for Thermocentral plant “New Kosovo”, has strategic significance for the country.
What characterizes this contract should be a model for other institutions as well, is transparency. In this regard, I am delighted that Minister Luka is making a new standard that has not been in the past for the economy should become more than the words”, OEK Chairman Safet Gerjaliu said.
