The humanitarian rescue group, Sea Watch, on the Twitter network has written that the exact <x0 number is still unclear” of people who have lost their lives. This group said that at least “ ” 25 people were killed.
In 2017, nearly 3,116 migrants lost their lives or disappeared during efforts to cross the Mediterranean Sea, the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) said.
Thousands of other immigrants managed to reach Greece or Italy.
