Lekaj reports before the Economic Development Commission for Bechtel& Enka

Minister of the Infrastructure Ministry, Pal Lekaj reports ahead of the Commission for Economic Development, Infrastructure, Trade, Industry and Regional Development regarding the claims of Bechtel ey Enka, for criminals who have been sent down from the non-fulfillment of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to the construction of the “Arben Xhaferi<1>. The Bechtel-Enka company is seeking from its employer in Kosovo, the Ministry of Infrastructure, as well as 63m euros on the contracted sum for completion of the work on Elez's Pristina highway, towards Skopje.
The document says that contracting parties have caused damage and there have been delays in completing the works as a result of obstacles from employers, the Ministry of Infrastructure.
But former Prime Minister Lutfi Zharku has said that 14.8m euros, rather than 63m euros, were mentioned during his mandate.
“We have been talking about 14.8 million, the proposal is in Government due to the extension of the” work schedule, Zaku said.
The Commission is today reviewing the Government's decision to appoint members of the Energy Regulatory Office Board.
