Vetevendosje Movement Chairman Albin Kurti has visited Recak today to commemorate the massacre that took place on January 15th, 1999.
He has said Recak's massacre has been crucial to NATO bombings.
The blood of martyrs and martyrs is never lost, but their name is never forgotten. We still have fresh memories of January 1999. 45 Albanian civilians were killed, but also 11 KLA soldiers who were protecting the corpses from being kidnapped by Serb forces”.
The “all of Kosovo was shocked and the democratic world was alarmed. This time NATO had to intervene to prevent the next Srebrenica, and not punish after it happened”, Kurti has said.
