Vetevendosje Chairman Albin Kurti has spoken for the first time after choosing mayor at a conference before the media. He has talked about electing mayor, as well as the resignations of VV officials and activists. Kurt also spoke of numerous offensive remarks on Facebook, where he said none of those who offended him represented him.
Kurti, before the media, said the VV is not breaking up, but they are resigning some VV activists, who, according to him, are loud because they are in official positions.
“In Vetevendosje there is no division, there are some resignations from some VV activists who are loud because they are in official high positions”, Kurti said, Periscope reports.
Kurt said he had the iron will, but not the iron hand, saying that he would disappoint those waiting on that iron hand.
I have the iron will, not the iron hand. Everyone who expects me to have an iron hand will be disappointed. I love an organization where constructive criticism is encouraged, and I especially love an organization where there will be insults and insults of those who are highest in hierarchy against those below”, Kurti said.
He said he is neither the boss nor owner of Vetevendosje.
I'm not a boss or owner in VV. Because VV isn't the kitchen to have a boss, and it's not even the company that owns. On the one hand, I am for freedom of expression, but on the other hand what this expression should be, I set my example with my statements on Facebook”, Kurti said.
He also talked about Facebook activism insults, which officials of the disgruntled group have repeatedly complained about.
Nobody that wrote on Facebook represented me, and I didn't know”, Kurti said. /Periscopi/
