The Security Force Ministry has confirmed that it has made budgetary planning for their purchase.
“MFSK/ The KSF for the fiscal year 2018 has preceded the purchase of armoured vehicles, and that is, the purchase will be conducted according to procurement procedures”, said in response.
In fact, the demand for the purchase of these vehicles was made during 2017, but that this tender had been cancelled because the American company had announced that the production of ordered autoblins cannot start until May 2018.
In a response to the KSF Ministry, provided for Indexline, it was said that because this date exceeded the 2017 fiscal year, they have been forced to interrupt the tender procedure and our respective producers and institutions have been announced.
The procurement procedure for the purchase of HMW-type tactical vehicles, due to information received by the U.S. producer, has been halted because of administrative procedures and export permits, the distribution of vehicles cannot do so before May 23rd 2018. Because this date exceeds 2017 fiscal year, we've been forced to interrupt the tender procedure and we've announced our current producer and institutions”,
According to them, the whole process was realised in compliance with NATO advisers and local authorities.
The entire process has been realised in full compliance with KSF minister, KSF Commander, Secretary General, and according to assessment Commission recommendations, which has been monitored throughout the course of two NATO advisers, procurement and logistics expert”, it said in response.
The then value of this order was of 3.85m euros, seen for this procurement activity, which was later declared budget savings.
