First Kosovars in Europe for Internet Use

Kosovars pass it on to Germans, French and many other Europeans for the internet. The poorest citizens in Europe use the internet more than all citizens of other countries. While in European countries the percentage of European households using the internet is 85 percent, in Kosovo that figure amounts to 88 per cent, 8 per cent. Kosovo families [...]
Kosovo families spend almost all day online. Most of them on computers, others on mobile phones, laptops, and tablets. Few turn out to be families who don't have access to these devices.
About 88.8 percent of households in Kosovo have internet access to homes from any device.
At least this is said in the report “The results of the Information Technology Use and Communication Survey 2017”, which has published the Kosovo Statistics Agency, writes the Word newspaper.
According to this 61, 3 per cent of family economies have had access to the internet, while 38.7 per cent have claimed to have had no access to any computer type.
“in 2017, family economies in Kosovo have had access to the computer 61.3%, while 38.7% have been declared to have had no access to any kind of computer (eg. desktop, laptop, netbook, tablet, excluding smart phones)”, says the report published by AKS.
To communicate, Kosovars use the Wi-Fi network more than mobile network, such as 3G, 4G, LTE. Even using the Wi-Fi network is almost double that size.
Based on these statistics, every fifth individual has claimed to have used the internet for private purposes in government authorities or public services over the past 12 months.
Getting information from websites or internet applications, downloading or impressioning official forms and sending completed forms via the Internet. It's the most frequent activities used by Kosovars.
But even though they spend most of their time online, to order online, it turns out they don't prefer the Internet. Most of them have been declared to prefer to buy themselves at the store. But there are also those who do not know how to order online.
“Containing goods is a problem, concerns about payment security/the protection of personal data, concerns about accepting/turning goods, and lack of a credit card for purchase” are other reasons that, according to the AKS report, citizens do not prefer to buy online.
First Kosovars in Balkans as internet users
Sociologist Ferdi Kamberi says that “when we are in use of technology, Kosovo ranks as the first in the Balkans for mass use, especially social networking in relation to the total number of residents.
The use of social networks among young people has often been converted into addiction, which can have major consequences, says Camber.
Other sociologists, according to him, suggest that some of the consequences of massive technology use can begin from vision to depression as a result of technology's dependence”, he said.
Internet Influence
For Internet use, but for young people and its impact, the Gnosis Institute was reported two weeks ago.
This report said that less influenced by the Internet are women. Only 37 percent of them are negatively affected by internet use.
And in this regard it turns out to be more restrained by men. Their position on social networks is causing them a lot of nervousness, stress, and worry.
According to the Gnosis report, about 62 percent of male gender is influenced by the Internet.
As far as positive influence is concerned, the impact on the two genders is estimated to be equal.
The positive effect of information technology use is spread to both women and men”, says the Gnosis Institute research.
Young people are shutting off social networks from pressure
The dependence of young people on the Internet is causing them trouble in the normal functioning of everyday life. Problems are more pronounced at school and at work, writes the Word newspaper.
It has turned out that about 66 percent of respondents have closed social networks for a certain period, because it has hindered them in the process of work and in learning.
And sometimes these young people thought they were wasting a lot of time on the Internet and closed up social networks.
And that has made them feel better after they're closed.
“In charge, it turns out that the temporary closure of social networks has contributed to the good of youth life”, the Gnosis report says.
