Pakistan authorities say armed persons were killed yesterday by a mother and her daughter, who participated in polio vaccines in the southwest town of Queeta.
According to police, the 50-year-old Sakina Bibi, and her daughter, Alysalz, 20, were giving children steps of immunity when two men on a motorcycle have shot them to death.
So far, no one has claimed responsibility for these murders, but militants in Pakistan are regularly attacking polio vaccine workers and their guards.
Militants say this vaccine campaign is a cover for Western spies or present conspiracy for sterilisation of Pakistani children.
Pakistan's prime minister, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, has condemned this attack and ordered investigations.
The top local official in the Balochistan province, Mir Abdul Quadus Bizenjo, has named these killings an act “qrest and terrorism”.
