Judgment Against Minister Valdrin Luka postponed

Due to the lack of indictee Eliana Naka, the session to her and Economic Development Minister Vladrin Luka was indefinitely postponed.

Luca and Naka are accused of conflict of interest.

Postponing the trial until March called for Teuta Zinnipotoku, Naka's lawyer, arguing the request for postponement with the poor state of her defense.

Justice Hamdi Ibrahimi then demanded the opinion of the parties whether sessions should be postponed or the procedure on Naka is isolated.

State prosecutor Habibe Salihu proposed that judicial review be postponed after March, when he is expected to be able to submit the trial.

Habibe Salihu said the delay for several months does not affect the efficiency of the case's treatment.

Artan Kerkin, Valdrin Luka's lawyer, said Naka needs another three-four months to recover after March so she can recover.

The order found that the demand for isolation of the procedure does not harm the process.

Luca and Naka were acquitted at the December 18, 2017 session.
