Jonuz Musliu, one of the Albanian leaders in the Presevo Valley, has died yesterday in a hospital in Turkey, while today it is expected to be sent to the homeland where a comet meeting has been envisioned.
And tomorrow, he is expected to be buried with a ceremony of honor.
The late Musliu was mayor of the Bujanoc municipality, and chairman of the National Council of Albanians.
Born in 1959, Musliu was a political prisoner, while leading the Political Council of the former Presevo Liberation Army, Medvedja and Bujanoc, a formation of Albanian rebels fighting for more rights in Serbia.
After the end of the conflict in the area in spring 2001 with the intervention of the international community, Mr. Musliu founded the Movement of Democratic Progress and was involved in political life in the Presevo Valley.
We are bringing the latest interview of Jonuz Musliu to Kosovo Preress, where he demanded that Presevo Valley join Kosovo.
The former leader of the Political Directorate of the Liberation Army for Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanovac, the situation of Albanians in the three Albanian municipalities, valued it extremely difficult, as in addition to the ethnic cleansing it has made and is constantly doing, Serbia is preparing for another war because it has begun positioning the army at strategic points, near the border with Kosovo.
As long as Serbia continues the sweep and preparations for war, Kosovo and Albania have left Albanians in the Presevo Valley under the mercy of luck, not stopping at any moment in aid. According to Musliu, expect that mostly he owes the Valley is Kosovo President Hashim Thaci.
