The EU has a map of the new strategy for enlargement in the Western Balkans and in this document, a draft of which “Koha Ditore” published at the beginning of December, does not mention the criteria Kosovo must meet, nor the deadline within which it can be moved from one cycle to the next integration cycle.
Neither is the time mentioned within which Kosovo can apply to obtain candidate status. Meanwhile, Serbia and Montenegro are named 2025 as a year when they can join.
Brenga has expressed the contents of this document at the Government meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj, who in two mandates has been foreign affairs minister.
