Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj considers the statements officially issued by Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in connection with the process of investigations into the murder of the former Kosovo Assembly President Oliver Ivanovic, considering efforts to intervene in the internal affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, and to undermine the credibility of Kosovo's justice institutions.
In a statement to BIRN, Hoxhaj has said that these statements do not focus on justice, but on instability.
These statements are purpose and structure that are not focused on justice but instability. Such has always been Russia's role in relation to Kosovo and the region. The Western Balkans remain politically, geographically and historically a European region dedicated to EU integration, NATO and other Euro-Atlantic structures”, Hoxhaj has said.
Hoxhaj added on behalf of the government that any political statements are harmful and unacceptable.
The Russian Foreign Ministry's spokeswoman said today that Pristina and its allies are hiding something about the investigation into Oliver Ivanov's murder.
