A hotel fire in downtown Prague has left two people dead and many others injured, rescuers have announced. A hotel fire in downtown Prague has left two people dead and many others injured, rescuers have announced.
The embassy's spokeswoman in the Czech capital, Jana Postova, has said that two people have died as a cause of fire during yesterday's Eurostars Hotel David Hotel.
The nationalists of the dead have not yet been disclosed.
“We are handling seven people, three of whom are in serious condition”, is quoted as saying Posoova, according to AFP.
She has added that 40 people have had to leave the hotel, located near the National Theatre and only a few blocks from the Vltawa River in Prague.
Officials have said that the corridors and steps of the hotel have made it difficult.
Two firefighters were injured in the dark corridors.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
