In fact, there are the same issues that other governments have dealt with. Political analysts estimate that these political topics are putting aside other topics that directly affect the lives of citizens.
The year 2017 was closed without finding solutions for Demarcation with Montenegro, without visa liberalisation, without the establishment of the Serb majority Communist Association, and saw the KSF becoming the Armed Forces. These are political topics that have been a challenge for past governments as well as for Haradinaj Government during 2017. According to political analyst Imer Mushkolaj, even during 2018, Haradinaj government will face similar political challenges, not challenges related to economic development and the social affairs of the country's citizens.
“With demarcation as a challenge this government has begun and with demarcation as a challenge, Haradinaj Government will continue during 2018. But on the other hand, other challenges -- as if it is the creation of the military -- the establishment of the AK as a promise that must be fulfilled, but also dialogue with Serbia”, Mushkolaj told Radio Kosovo.
While constitutional law professor Mazlum Baraliu says the institutions will be challenged with the big causes that challenge the country for a long time, but he says another issue must be taken care of.
“is a lack of economic and social development strategy in the country. Even this Government is continuing with the same ava as the preliminary ones. They do not try to create economic development environments so that the youth will not leave and Kosovo will not be emptied”, Baraliu told Radio Kosovo.
However, Baraliu says the current government has a greater dynamic of action.
“Dinamics must be made wisely and legally, in order to simply create a consensus on any issue at any cost of opposition position and all Kosovo society and then act in no way with resentment as has happened so far”, Baraliu said.
Apart from the political challenges the Government and Parliament will face during 2018, even fighting crime and corruption remains one of the main challenges. This was said days ago by United Kingdom Ambassador Ruairi O'Connell, who said Kosovo has no greater challenge than fighting corruption.
