Greece's president, Prokopis Pavlopoulos, has again stopped at the problems of his country's relations with Albania.
In a message with the new year's case, Pavlopoulos has underlined that four parameters, including respect for property rights and minority rights, are defined in relations with neighbours.
According to the Greek head of state, it conveys the century, these are issues of national character for Greece, but there are also issues that belong to the European family.
“These issues are also the measuring box for good friendship and neighbouring relations, as well as the European perspective of neighbouring countries with us, in the sense that everything depends on and on their full respect”, Pavlopoulos notes. In this part, the Greek president's message is mostly directed towards Turkey, with which Greece shares the Cyprus issue. Three of the four points the Greek president defines as “metering” in relations with neighbours relate to Turkey and fourth to Albania, despite none of the two countries being named by name. “Respecting basic human rights and primarily the right to property and minority rights”, the Greek president correctly, returning to the last day of the year, an issue that has touched him several times during 2017.
