Ghani Dresaj does not give up Istog, file complaints even in Constitutional

Lawyer Arianan Koci has told Indexline that today he has filed a complaint on behalf of the AAK candidate for Istog chairman Gani Dresaj.

“Today, on behalf of Guni Dresaj, I handed over to the Constitutional Court the legality of the Dd Supreme Court Act. December 26th 2017, which is denied the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK)'s complaint against the Election Panel's decision on Anxiety and the D. December 23, 2017. Ghani Dresey predicts he was violated by the right to be chosen, guaranteed by Article 45 pars. 1 of the Kosovo Constitution, due to violations during the voting process and violations during the vote count management”, Koci has said.

According to him, the aforementioned violations mainly concern the votes of at least fifty-two (52) citizens who have not been counted since these citizens had reached adulthood after updating the final voting list on the part of the Central Election Commission (KQZ) by right. September 22, 2017.

The constitution guarantees the right (active) to select and the right (passive) to be selected, for all citizens who reach eighteen years of age (18), even on election day. Not counting the votes of the above-mentioned number of citizens, Mr. Ghani Dresey, has been violated by the right to be chosen. So, mismanagement on the voter lists has violated not only the right of citizens of the Istog municipality to choose, but also violated Mr. Ghani Dreshi to select”, Koci stressed.

He says Gani Dresaj believes that the final outcome of the elections in the municipality of Istog does not reflect the will of citizens, so he believes that the Constitutional Court will play its role to protect the guaranteed rights and freedoms of every citizen, indiscriminately.
