Serbia's state television site, quoted Kosovo Police Chief of Kosovo in Mitrovica Zeljko Bojic, as saying that in the second phase of Tuesday's assassination investigations, evidence and other traces, along with the video-incision server and all materials received at the scene have been forwarded to Pristina.
Regarding Ivanovic's murder, yesterday around 8 am, on “road. Sujeska” in northern Mitrovica, Kosovo police have announced that Serbian politician has been shot six times with 9X19mm calibration firearms, by strangers so far.
In the continuation of the ongoing investigations, Kosovo police say they have secured the scene and processed the sight of the site, where relevant evidence has been collected for the case.
We are currently in the process of criminal examination of all evidence. In particular, they are being released, analysed and assessed the videos taken by security cameras, which were taken at the scene or connected to the site, as well as other material evidence. The investigative team, consisting of specialised officials for these cases, including Rand Crimes Investigation officials, the Central Forenzice, IT Forenzice, intelligence officials, the Directorate for International Co-operation, have been fully engaged in processing all data that connects to this case”, Kosovo Police have announced.
According to police, several witnesses have been interviewed to this stage, as well as some information has been accepted through secure communication channels, set up for this purpose by the Kosovo Police.
Police have announced that the option has also been conducted and have already released preliminary results.
“Under investigative action has been identified as a burnt car called Opel Astra-ray, a car that is suspected to be involved in this case. We have also managed to track the country level, but international data regarding circulation, as well as the owner/owner of this building”, the Police report says.
