Kosovo's <x0horites will decide whether Serbia will participate in the investigation,” said EULEX Press Office chief and Public Information Dragana Nikolic Solomon on whether the request came to EULEX.
The Interior Ministry has announced that it has several times contacted representatives of EULEX and UNMIK to include Serbia's investigative authorities in investigating SDP Civic Initiative head Oliver Ivanovic's murder.
Police Director Vladimir Rebiq reportedly spoke with EULEX representatives and insisted on the urgent involvement of Serbian state authorities in the investigation and provision of information available to them, reports “Beta”, Periscopi broadcast.
The Interior Ministry is expected to conduct an investigation at the highest professional level, because otherwise the investigation was very difficult and cannot come with serious consequences,” said in an internal ministry statement.
The ministry also announced it will publish all documents requiring the involvement of state authorities in the investigation.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq said yesterday that Serbia has submitted a request for EULEX and UNMIK take part in the investigation.
