Erdogan talks to Putin over the ongoing war in Africa, Syria

Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has spoken over the phone with France's President Emmanuel Macron and Russia's President Vladimir Putin to discuss recent developments regarding the “Operation Olive Branch” in which Turkey has sent its army to Africa, according to Turkish presidential sources. According to these sources, Erdogan has announced Putin that the operation was launched on January 20th to fight Kurds in the northwest city of Africa.
Erdogan noted that Turkey praises co-ordination work with Russia in Syria. The Turkish president has also said the operation, which has been involved in national security, will contribute to Syria having a common policy and territorial integrity.
While Erdogan and Macron have exchanged their version of recent developments in Syria.
The source said Erdogan and Makron agreed to have “close match” over efforts to resolve the crisis in Syria. /Periscopi/
