He said that position “given that we must maintain state and national interests under conditions where there are great pressures” for “slow down on our European road.
In an interview for the Serbian daily “Blic”, Dacic said that, unfortunately, “the entire history conditions us with Kosovo and always is a war when chapters” are opened, Time.net broadcasts.
Major Western powers the Serbian minister does not name them friends, but partners, but does not believe it is impossible to find a common interest with them.
In his words, Serbia must co-operate with everyone, but, it says, there is a huge difference in relation to friends and those who are always classified in the group of Kosovo friends.
Asked why this is strange, because their stand [Kosovo's friendly states] -- and in particular the US -- is not unknown, Dacic stresses that for this reason it cannot say they are friends, but not even enemies.
For the first time in history, it happens that these countries have no common interests with the Serbian people, which is strange”, he says.
Dacic says it is necessary to find that common interest, because, according to him, if Serbian interests are not respected, there will be no permanent solution for Kosovo.
If someone thinks we're going to agree to a unilateral action that has only been achieved, I think these are completely unrealistic expectations”, he says.
Dacic thinks compromise should be found between Serbs and Albanians.
He adds that “we are ready for this, but we are not ready for someone to expect us to accept what has been achieved unilaterally, as is Kosovo's self-declared independence and Metohija”.
The “in February takes 10 years to declare that unilateral act. What about that independence of Kosovo? Have they managed to do something with it? They have not arrived, nor have they arrived. Among other things, thanks to our friends”, Dachic says.
According to him, it is unrealistic to expect that at the end of this year, the solution to the Kosovo issue will be expected.
Who mentioned 2018 as the turning point? These are fairy tales”, he said, adding that he thinks even Kosovo citizens no longer trust the government there.
Pristina has extended an invitation to call the mind and ordered:
“Understand that there is no solution without agreement with Belgrade, to which no one can put pressure to comply with a solution that does not coincide with Serbian interests. If they think differently, they don't know the Serbian people”, Dachic stressed, Coha.net broadcasts.
Asked what the Serbian proposal for resolving the problem with Kosovo is, Dacic has said that domestic dialogue for Kosovo has started Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq, and that his personal opinion is that a practical solution should be found that would eliminate conflict between the two peoples.
I don't know, but it has to be found. If we're of reconciliation, it doesn't matter which of the state bodies shapes it”, it's over, Dacic.
