Cameras being warned on roads with the goal of increasing traffic safety

The Kosovo Police's annual regional traffic report in Gjilan has been presented today, attended by the mayor of Lutfi Haziri, Regional Police Commander Elmina Mahmuti, Police Station Commander Alban Ramushi, and representatives from central headquarters in Pristina.

Mayor Lutfi Haziri has highly appreciated the work of police in preserving the safety of citizens and in their education with the aim of preventing accidents.

In order to prevent accidents and ensure the movement, the municipality is in the process of setting public lighting on Gjilan-Livoci Ulut-Cllokot Street, as well as from the tunnel to Bresalz, since it will be built according to European standards. Also, we plan the location of security cameras in the city in co-operation with police, and this greatly facilitates our work and the state police”, Haziri said.

The regional police commander in Gjilan, Elmina Mahmut, after praising the work of regional police traffic, has also thanked Gjilan's head for permanent co-operation, always in the best interests of citizens' safety.

The annual plan, where regional traffic information, prevention, or reduced fatal accidents, with damage and injuries, was released in discussions today, where unfortunately, there has been an increase in 2017 compared to 2016.
