The formation of the Association or Community of Serb Majority municipalities will be the culmination of the Serbian List, will try to realise During 2018, officials of this political subject, which represents the Serb community in Kosovo institutions, declare.
Igor Simay, deputy of the Kosovo Assembly from the ranks of the Serbian List, speaking of Radio Free Europe, says the Kosovo Serb community expects the solution to the problems facing this community in 2018 to begin, while the problem considered primary, according to him, remains the formation of the Association of Serb majority municipalities. But, according to him, forming the Association remains in the hands of official Pristina, which has taken the pledge of such a thing with the agreement in Brussels under the framework of dialogue for normalizing relations Between Kosovo and Serbia.
As the enemy expresses the opinion that, in this direction, the current government of Kosovo should show more bold in relation to past governments and begin with the process of forming association.
The time has come for bold decisions to be made. Many people predict that the year 2018 will be a year in which such decisions will be needed. We have, on one hand, such calls from the international community, both Brussels and Washington, but also from those in Kosovo. On the other hand, the Serbian List, as the representative of the Serbian people in Kosovo, will absolutely always support proposals leading to the formation of the Community of Serb municipalities, but other things that are of interest to the Serbian people”, Sibiu stressed.
But, weeks ago, Halil Matoshi from Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's cabinet has stressed that forming the Association of Serb majority municipalities, not considered an urgent matter.
The “is neither urgent nor does it mean something very urgent for the Government of Kosovo, because first the draft-state should be drafted, then revised and according to the Constitutional Court's verdict and the Brussels Agreement, it must go back to confirmation at the Constitutional Court”, Matosi has said.
But, Sismi has dismissed the possibility that the Serb List will accept that formation of the Association be made on the basis of the Constitutional Court verdict, which is specified in the Brussels Agreement of August 2015. According to him, Association must be formed under the 2013 agreementIn which reconciliation was reached to form association.
Serbia's “List will not give up on the Serb municipal community being formed, as reconciliation has been achieved in Brussels. The 2013 Brussels Agreement, which envisions the formation of the Serb municipal community, has been ratified by the Kosovo Parliament as an international document. As such, it has legally greater power than the Constitution and Constitutional Court”, Sim enemies said.
But, the Serbian connoisseur of political developments, Randjel Nojrik, had earlier told Radio Free Europe that official Pristina should show wisdom and resolve the problem of forming association. But according to him, the 2013 agreement is only a reconciliation in principle, meanwhile, the formation of association should be made according to the 2015 agreement. In the latter, as Nojrik has said, it is clearly said that the Association of Serb-run municipalities Formed according to Kosovo laws and that the Constitutional Court is obliged to declare constitutionality. The Serbian List's insistence, he calls it useless.
And now that we're putting it back, nothing will come out of this. This is already an official document, that's what it says, and that's the completed” story, Nokick said.
However, forming the Association of Serb-run municipalities, according to Serbian List officials, is only one of the three main goals of this political subject for 2018.
As Singh has said, the return of the displaced and surviving Serbs living in Kosovo, as well as achieving economic and judicial security for them, remain the challenges and essential goals that the Serbian List will try to realise during 2018.
