The chief of the European Union Office in Kosovo, Natalia Apostolova, has reiterated the conditions Kosovo must meet urgently to obtain visa liberalisation.

In an interview for Kosovo's eyjeta show, Apostolova reaffirmed that conditioning liberalisation with ratification of the demarcation stands and that politicians should not hold the youth hostage with political decisions.

This is very clear, the message has been forwarded, now it's in the hands of the Assembly. And here, let me appeal to politicians again that they really think twice about whether they really want to hold the youth hostage, ordinary citizens who want to travel and visit their families, to have access to cultural heritage in Europe, only because of the individual interests of a small political party, which are currently hindering the vote in Parliament”, Apostolova said.

She has also said that Kosovo's achievements in the EU integration process are encouraging, but action is expected in recent conditions for liberalisation.

Kosovo must show some kind of stability, goodwill and credibility on its European path. You've done so much, you've met 93 of the 95 criteria, which is very encouraging for this new democracy, because Kosovo has ten years of democratic life. Compared to others in the region, you've really done a lot and that should be commended. However, and this should become absolutely clear even at this forum, which will have no exception of”, she said.
