When I invited him to visit our country, I explained in detail why I think it is important that he come to Serbia. I have talked about the attitude of all Serbian citizens on what they think of his policy, how people in Serbia will welcome him, why it is important and that his presence would show how many Serbs want this friendship”, Vuciq told reporters.
He also said that during Tuesday's reception organised by Trump and his wife, Melanie, for world leaders currently attending the UN General Assembly, he had the chance to shake hands with US President “4 times”, the “reported <x292”, Periscopi broadcast.
“I have invited him to come to Serbia and he said he agreed to come about 2018 to Serbia, he said this is an agreement and then extended his hand the last time”, Vuciq stressed.
Vuciq said he had also spoken with Melanie Trump “in a mixture of Serbian and Slovenian so we understood each other well”.
He also said he met with French President Emmanuel Macron, who “raised his full support on Serbia's European path” and announced he would soon make “visit” Belgrade./Periscopi/
