Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has travelled to Washington of the United States of America, along with the national co-ordinator for the Millennium Challenge in Kosovo, Petrit Selimi.
Thaci on Tuesday, on behalf of Kosovo, will sign the agreement between Kosovo and the MCC, in the presence of many American congressmen and senators, who have supported Kosovo now and many decades, announces a report by the presidency.
This $49 million deal will focus on two areas: Rule of the Law and Efficiency in Energy, through various projects and activities that will be implemented over four years.
It's this first ceremony in MCC history that signed such an agreement in Congress.
Kosovo is prequalified for MCC programmes in November 2015, aimed at identifying possible areas of transformative investment for economic growth, poverty reduction, and the creation of new jobs in Kosovo.
