This Monday was reported that last Thursday at CKUK, four deaths occurred during operations, and suspected that they were not natural, but the cause of problems during medical treatment.
For, these deaths have now been set up an investigative team within the CKUUK, and they are also being investigated by the Prosecution and Police.
The Metro newspaper, from sources within QKUUK), has learned that the investigation of the case has resulted in two of the four deaths that day allegedly caused problems with anesthesia given to patients subjected to the operation.
As the Metro newspaper has learned, the report made by the investigative team results in 17 cases of similar problems involving anesthesia being operated that day. All eight of these cases have proved to have taken anesthesia from the same system, while other cases in which the problem was not presented, from another anesthesia system.
Of these eight cases, according to the investigative report, two elderly persons have died after failing to recover. While the other six cases, which have also had respiratory problems, have been able to return to normal condition.
This has raised the suspicion that the death of these two victims has not been natural, but it may have been the cause of problems with the anesthesia they were given during surgery.
This suspicion, it has caused the investigative team to order victims and six other people who have had the same problem to be taken blood samples for analysis. Also isolated and blocked anesthesia given to patients who have had this problem, and the same is expected to be sent to a laboratory abroad to do the analysis. As possible countries, for these tests are under consideration, Albania or Montenegro, as Kosovo does not own such a laboratory, has revealed this source for newspapersmethro.net.
In the case, the Metro newspaper has also contacted the QKUUK office, but spokesman Shpend Fazliu said that at this stage they cannot provide more information than what was said in the media communiqué. He has said that, in the case, even the investigative bodies are being seized, and the case has now gone to another level of investigation, which does not belong to the CKUKUK.
While in the KKUK's announcement, it is said that after discussions and consultations with teams and relief persons, it was decided that through commissions formed by the KKUK on this issue, detailed research based on relevant professional reports should be made.
Even the prosecutor who has confirmed that he is investigating the case of three suspicious deaths at QKUK has refused to give additional details, asking the media to leave space for investigative work.
The new minister of Health, Ismaili Bridges, is also being taken into account today, who has called for dangerous and professional investigations into the WKUK deaths, located on Thursday, a few days before he received his wish.
Minister Ismaili has announced that for this case he has taken concrete action, including ordering all MSHU's inspectors to go to KKUK to begin independent and detailed investigations.
As a result, it becomes known that the teams have isolated all the equipment and all samples blocked. It has also been recommended that analysis of these samples be done abroad.
