Vetevendosje MP Dardan Sejdiu, who by late was deputy chairman of the Pristina municipality, has indicated that Shpend Ahmeti will also receive the new mandate.
Speaking of counter-Candidates, Sejdiu has indicated that the biggest rival is Arban Abrashi of LDK, Kosovo reports.
I find it difficult to talk about Ahmeti's counterCandids. They have a biography in politics, but citizens should appreciate whether they want the path that has stabilised Pristina or back in 2013”.

It's still a citizens' decision. Citizens no longer cheer for the party, they see the programme, the consortium and the figures. They are aware of any political decision. I am convinced that on October 22nd in Pristina we will have a party, not only for Pristina, but also for other municipalities.”, he added.
