A US-backed Syrian antiagetis force accused Russian aviation today of taking air attacks on its fighters east of Syria.
It is the first time that the Syrian Democratic Forces (FDS) say they have become the target of Russia's air strikes, ally of the Syrian regime in conflict. They had earlier accused the regime of air attacks on them in the nearby province of Raka.
In this complex war of many protagonists, Russian-backed and US-backed forces are taking different offensives to get rid of the Islamic State jihadist group (ISIS) from Deir Espor, the last province controlled by I SIS in almost all Syria territory.
The problem offensive is focusing on the town of Deir Azzor, the province's chief centre bearing the same name extending west of the oil-rich province.
