The White House has said that the violent displacement of Muslims of the Ringya ethnicity to Myanmar shows that the country's security forces are not protecting civilians.
The US has called on the security authorities in Myanmar to end the violence and deportation of civilians to all communities.
“Call on Myanmar's security authorities to respect rule of law, stop violence and end the evacuation of civilians from all communities”, the White House said in a communiqué.
