London seeks new treaty with EU after Brex

The British government said today it wants to link with the European Union a new treaty on the security plan that would enable continued co-operation in the area of the fight against crime and terrorism after Brex. “A treaty would provide a legal basis for continuing police, security and judicial co-operation [...]
“A treaty would provide a legal basis for continuing police, security and judicial co-operation after leaving the EU”, the executive explained in a statement issued before the publication Monday of a document on the issue.
A treaty would enable in this form to avoid showing “operational regimes” after Brex planned in March 2019, he added.
