Hurricane Irma has already hit the southern coast of Florida state and the first damage has only just begun, China reports.
As The Guardian writes, more than a million homes have already been without electricity until the storm center has not passed over the main part of the city.
Some media are reporting that the first victim in Florida has been recorded, but this has not yet been officially confirmed.
Iram, who hit some islands in the Caribbean earlier, has left 25 people dead so far.
In Florida alone, 6.3 million people have been evacuated, or about 30 percent of the total population in this country.
