The Kosovo Assembly has held on Saturday, September 9th, the session in which the new Kosovo government was formed with Ramush Haradinaj at the helm, writes Intro newspaper.

The new government, consolidated after three months of political deadlock following the June 11th elections, is seen with scepticism by many local political figures and analysts.

The reason for this, among other things, is the composition of the ruling coalition and their numbers in parliament.

However, University of Political Sciences professor at Pristina University Africa Hoti has told Gazeta Intro that numbers are not a problem.

The length of one country's governance comes as a result of the political mindset that subjects and individuals in the current country. The existence of numbers (softs) in parliament is not a guarantee of living and success in government. As an example, you have preliminary governance that was not at all jeopardised by numbers but was the most fragile and unsuccessful post-war government in Kosovo”, he has declared.

Furthermore, he has indicated that governance will be complicated, but he positively sees Ramush Haradinaj's coming to the helm of the government.

I think Mr. Haradinaj will provide energy to the country, and his actions in the government's initiative depend on his current course. There is no dilemma that it should start with hot and urgent topics such as visa liberalisation, fighting crime and corruption, creating space for meritocracy and economic development and the like. It's very clear that the governing structure seems to be complicated but that a real leadership can lead it to work out well and, to the best of”, he added.
