Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has said he will act quickly to resolve the issue of the border demarcation agreement with Montenegro, which is one of the old challenges his government will face. A day after parliament voted its election to prime minister, Haradinaj has stressed, in an interview for Voice of America, also spoke of visa liberalisation.
Mr. Prime Minister, you now have to face some of the remaining challenges from the past government, as is the border issue with Montenegro, which is holding the visa liberalisation issue hostage. How will you approach this problem now from the prime minister's position when you have strongly opposed the opposition?
Haradinaj: My political principles are not based on the case of opposition or power, I defend what I believe and declare for what I believe. The current version of the agreement is wrong. The Kosovo-Montenegro border is in Chuckorr and Tower and top peaks, so we'll correct this. It is a great fate that Montenegro is a neighbouring country, we have enjoyed Montenegro's advances, especially NATO membership, and that we are also aiming to join NATO and see no major difficulties in this topic. So, I believe there will be a quick exit from the existing situation, but I'm not specifying now what steps we will take, but there will be a quick exit from this situation and we will not delay visa liberalisation.
