New government still undecided on how to proceed with army formation

The Haradinaj Government's primary objective is to turn the Security Force into Armed Forces.

But in the prime minister's cabinet, they have not indicated what the way of transforming the KSF into the military -- through constitutional changes or legal changes, Koha Ditore writes today.

Up until then governments have failed to change the Constitution for the military due to the Serb List's refusal, without its votes, the transformation cannot be made.
The opposition has said it supports any advance of the KSF, whether through Constitution or law, while demanding that Serbia's influence be avoided. The conversion of the Kosovo Security Force to the Armed Forces continues to be the annual promise of government, but there has been a lack of actions for this pledge to be fulfilled.
