New government to pay spending on dehari case expertise

At the second meeting of the government of the Republic of Kosovo, Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri has called on the country's prime minister, Ramush Haradinaj, to separate financial means from the state budget for whiteling the circumstances of VV member Astrit Dehari's death, who has changed his life at the Prebug Centre in Prizren.

Tahiri has said that at this meeting there will not be a decision on financial means on the case, but there will be a pledge by the government cabinet that they will make a decision at the next meeting.

For the dehydrated case, let's split the means from the Government of Kosovo for some expertise to complete his case. Today, let's not make decisions, but pledge to do this”, the minister of justice said.

He has also stressed that the necessary financial means amount to about 50,000 euros.

The “needs about 50,000 euros to be separated for expertise and opportunity and to know the truth”, he said.

The most final word justice minister has taken the word Prime Minister Haradinaj, saying they will fulfil the government's obligations following consultations expected to have with Finance Minister Bedri Hamza in the coming days.

“We regret the case, we will fulfil the obligations that emerged after consultations with Finance Minister”, Haradinaj said.

Then, it has also called for its word, Minister Hamza, who vowed to back the request of Minister Tahiri.

The finance ministry will no doubt support this request”, he said.

Regarding Dehar's suspicious death, several protests have also been staged by citizens of the country who have sought justice for him.

The 26-year-old Astrit Dehari died on November 5th last year under still unclear circumstances at Prizren's Pre-medigation Centre.
