One in two Germans wants Merkel to be terminal.

Asked on slogan “Merkel must be weg” (Merkel must go), a phrase often used by far-right protesters, 50 percent of respondents have responded in favor.

This survey was conducted by the Institute “YouGo” under Sunday's national elections, in which Merkel is expected to win a fourth mandate and give conservative Christian Democrats advantages to establish a coalition government.

Half of those surveyed said they support this slogan for “The direct” language.

This is the first survey this year, that 50 percent of respondents are against Merkel.
