The oxidol N2O gas, which allegedly claimed to kill two patients at the University Clinical Centre of Kosovo (QKUK), is not on the list of medical products that have authorization for marketing at the Kosovo Agency for Medical Products (AKPPM), Koha Ditore writes today.
The certificate that proves this authorisation has never been requested in the tendering procedure at QKUK, while gas, but other companies, is continuing to be used in health institutions. QKUK has supplied the company “Bubear Komerc”, headquartered in Kacanik, owned by Naser Guri.
Kosovo Health Inspectorate Chief Inspector Ardita Barak has told the paper that the first data they have received from the AKPPM shows that this type of gas has no license to distribute in Kosovo. According to her, the preliminary report from this agency was quoted as Administrative Guide 012015- Marketing Authority for Products and Medical Equipment, which suggests that medical gases are considered medical products.
