Following the far-right AfD party for the historic outcome in Germany's last general elections, opponents of this populist party have taken to the streets in protest. Police have secured the area, but protesters continue to breed, reported “Deutsche Welle”, broadcast Periscopi.
Hundreds of demonstrators gathered at Alexanderplatz in Berlin on Sunday evening, holding up and down anti-signs - The AfD to protest the outcome of the far-right populist party's election.

Just hours ago, Alternatives to Germany ( AfD) won 13.1 per cent of the vote in German national elections, ensuring that this party enters Bundestag.

The crowd was continuing to grow outside the building where the AfD was celebrating their historic election outcome.
Protesters sang slogans such as “Racism is not an alternative”, “AfD is a gang of racists” and “Nazis out! ”

Later, the crowd shouted as one, “The whole Berlin hates AfD. ”
The AfD currently holds 23 out of 160 seats in the Berlin Parliament.

DW Kate Brady spoke to some of the anti-spurge protesters - AfD in Alexanderplatz in the German capital.
22-year-old Lisa expressed her belief that such protests would become commonplace. “Especially in times like these, I think it's very important that we talk against racism and xenophobia and against right-wing ideologies that the AfD unfortunately stands at”.

AfD is set to enter Bundestag as the third largest party after Angela Merkel's Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and Martin Schulz's Social Democratic Party (SPD).
