Although the damages are estimated to be millions of municipalities have not yet come up with evaluation reports, the MBPZHR will make the compensation.
Tropical temperatures that have dominated in July and August this year across the country have burned up whole areas of the forests, grasses and fields of Mitrovica, Vushtrri and Drenas.
School objects (in Mitrovica) and hotel facilities (in Vushtrri) have even been burned. But, although the damages are estimated to be millions, the Mitrovica municipality, Vushtrria and the Drenas municipality have not yet assessed the damages.
Municipal officials from these municipalities have told “Zer” on Friday that they have formed commissions that assess damages from natural disasters, but that they have not yet done the damage assessment.
South Mitrovica and North Mitrovica have faced several fires, which, in addition to including over 100 hectares of forests, grasses and fields, had also endangered houses, especially in the Church Reca region and at “Cernushe” in northern Mitrovica, as well as in the town of Mitrovica itself, in the neighbourhood “bair”.
