The BEC board, at an extraordinary meeting, has decided that Fehmi Mehmeti will be the Governor's taskkeeper, following Bedri Hamza's resignation, who was appointed finance minister in Ramush Haradinaj Government.
“Bord of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo at the extraordinary meeting held today has discussed the issue of meeting the governor's position. The board after analyzing the situation created following Governor Hamza's resignation made a decision by appointing Mr. Fehmi Mehmeti, for the Governor's taskman until the election of the new Governor. Since 2014, Mr. Mehmeti has exercised the position of Deputy Governor for Bank Oversight at the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo”, the CEC's media report said.
