At the Central Election Commission, they are hoping for a successful election process in the country's north. So said CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi, who has spoken of preparations this institution is making regarding local elections.

“The CEC is making simultaneous preparations and we hope that we will successfully close this process and in the north”, Elez stressed.

He has indicated that 91 political subjects have applied for participation in the elections, but that not all candidates can be certified.

“The CEC examines the applications if they are in accordance with the law, the CEC is expected to decide on the certificate of 86 candidates”, he said. “Even in past elections have been reviewing applications that have been made, but there have been extraordinary elections and there has been no possibility of how to make fair”.

As for the shift in the polling centre, Elez has indicated that there have been thousands of applications so far and that there is expected to be a report on the issue.

As for the vote outside Kosovo, according to him, about 10,000 cases have been approved and about 1,000 have been rejected.

He has said that in a few days the voters' list will be accurately known. / RTK
