It has been almost three months since early elections in Kosovo, and the country is still without the establishment of institutions.
The New Kosovo coalition thinks its responsibility for this impasse lies with Vetevendosje and the Democratic League of Kosovo, which, although having a large number of MPs, is being viewed only by party interests.
AKR Parliament Speaker Fatmir Matoshi, during a campaign for Indexline, invites these two subjects to reflect as quickly as the country can be unblocked.
“I don't think we're holding the state hostage that we have 4 deputies and that responsibility has been given to citizens of every percentage and number of MPs. I think it would be good to reflect those who have 32 or 23 deputies, because they could have a bigger role. But if it came to our deputies, I think our role would have been constitutional and pro-election. We are inviting those who have 32 and 23 MPs to reflect because it is not okay when you have so many deputies and to think about party interest and keep the country blocked”, Matoshi has said.
He adds that if an agreement is reached between these two political subjects, then AKR will strongly support him. On the contrary, he says they'll see another deal.
I think they should think a little more seriously. Our bid continues to remain for the VV and the LDK, but their reflection is expected, they must go out of the interests of their parties. If there's a deal between them, then we strongly support that agreement. But if they definitely don't have a deal, then we have to find a different deal”, he added.
Otherwise, PAN officials have already voiced confidence that the next week will be the crucial one for the constitution, stressing that the AKR will join them in forming institutions.
