Ahmeti deal with Zaev '% Albanians without candidate for Skopje

Zaev's request is meant to use the election model in Macedonia and win a mayor in the first round.

If the agreement is reached, it will be the first time in Macedonia's history that the largest Albanian party has no candidate for mayor, even though more than 20% of Albanians live in Skopje.

This means that Albanians will not be able to offer support to an Albanian mayor in Skopje, which is equal to a national disaster.

According to the same source, Ahmeti's main motive for agreeing to Zaev's request is for DUI to avoid a direct confrontation with party B ESA in Skopje and a serious defeat.

The EUSA is considered the favourite for these elections, especially in Skopje, where the Cair municipality is their strongest stronghold.

In DUI, there is serious dissatisfaction with Ahmeti's goal, say Ahmeti makes concept policy “brotherly-communication” from the former Yugoslavia, where Albanians were marginalised and without the most fundamental rights.

The source says party members fear that with this movement and with the departure from the battlefield from the start, they are withdrawing from the victory in local elections in Cair and Saraj, which are part of Skopje's city and are seen as missing.

The same source has said that a large part of DUI membership in Skopje alleges that Ahmeti has been blackmailed by the LSDM for his criminal actions committed by his family members and therefore betrays Albanians.

Will Ali Ahmeti sell to Albanians in Skopje, remains to be seen.
