The outgoing European Integrations Minister Mimoza Ahmetaj has stressed that there is more than a week that is dealing with the issue of whether citizens are illegally leaving Kosovo to European Union countries (BE), responsible for Western countries.
She said that the possibility of repeating the 2015 ecstasy continues to be a matter of concern and commitment.
From conversations with the police director and other relevant institutions, it turns out that bus lines are the same and that there is no difference. We don't have an increasing number of lines. Then, even in conversations with EU member states, we are not told there is an increase in the number of asylum seekers, Ahmetaj has added.
According to her, citizens have guaranteed free movement, adding that they have taken all measures to disrupt this phenomenon.
“Each of us know that Kosovo is treated as a safe country of origin, where no citizen has the right to receive asylum. We have this constant sorrow. We are prepared to do everything possible so that this does not happen”, Ahmetaj stressed.
