Zvelevski dismissal hearings continue today

The Republika Macedonia Assembly will hold the tenth continuation of the sixth session, in which it will debate the dismissal of state public prosecutor Marko Zvelevski.
The proposal for Zvelevski's dismissal has been submitted by the government. The Government's request -- for MPs from the opposition VMRO-DPMNE -- is groundless and not controversial.
They refer to Article 8 by the electoral code, with which they say, it is stressed that all procedures for appointment and dismissal of officials do not dare to occur when elections are announced.
The majority deputies in the Assembly warned they would give up their speeches in order to get Zvrinlevski fired and elect the new state public prosecutor to start reforms in the legislature.
On the agenda of the sixth assembly session, there are 30 points in which the annual Report of the Public Lawyer's Report on Respect, Progress and Protection of Freedoms and Human Rights, information on the state of illegal storage in Struga, the annual report on the work of the ARM Energy Regulatory Commission, the financial plan of the Security Supervision Agency for 2017, the proposal for approval of the Macedonian Radio Television Financial Plan for 2017, the proposal for approval of the annual proposal for a civil agency's development programme for 2017.
