Thaci concludes meeting with Vuciq: Here's what we talked about.

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci and Serbia's Aleksandar Vuciq today have held a meeting in Brussels, reports “Zeri.info”.

This meeting was called by EU High Representative Federica Moghrini.

After this meeting, President Thaci indicated what they discussed at the meeting.

“I thank Mogher for allowing this meeting with Serbia's president for normalising relations. There has been a correct meeting where we have discussed further steps towards starting a new dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia about normalising neighbouring relations. Kosovo and Serbia need a final deal”, Thaci has said, among other things.

He has also stated that he hopes that soon both state Kosovo and Serbia will reach an agreement, but has not indicated what agreement it is about, but that, according to him, this dialogue is moving into a new phase.

“ ...and I hope that in the future we will reach an agreement we are two independent and sovereign states we need communication and we need a closing agreement... This new phase of dialogue that we have declared earlier is necessary to start as soon as possible and life of European criteria. At this stage we have full confidence that it must be a lasting unity in union with the European Union and the full support of the United States of America. We're going to discuss issues that remain open and that need to close once and for all and reach the conclusion agreement... Today between Kosovo and Serbia, we have a more normal communication that we have had earlier and now we need an agreement to move faster than”, Thaci has stated, transmits “Zeri.info”.

He has also said that the agreement between Kosovo and Serbia would mean peace for the entire Western Balkan region.

Thaci also said after this meeting he hopes there will be more frequent meetings with his Serbian counterpart, Aleksandar Vuciq.

“Kosovo- Serbia implies peace for the entire Western Balkan region. I hope that in the near future institutions and the Government will be established and institutions will also reach the final agreement needed for the construction of Kosovo. I hope we have more frequent meetings with Vuciqi so that we can continue this relationship”, Thaci said.
