Shtime municipality deputy chairman resigns, leaves post in PDK

Deputy Chairman of the Shtime Community Fatmir Rasiti, who also held the post of member of the PDK, has left these two positions with much dissatisfaction that he has addressed the current leadership of this municipality. At the same time, this is the second resignation in this municipality, since the day before he resigned. Director of the Directorate for Urban Planning, Construction, Cadaster, and Geodeze in the Black Town, Mehdi Salihu. He had also withdrawn from the position of the PDK Council, the branch in Shtime.

He has resigned irrevocable from the municipality's deputy chairmanship, as well as PDK member.

Rashi has confirmed to “Zrin” his resignation, and has acknowledged that the reasons for this resignation are associated with dissatisfaction with the current mayor of the municipality, Naim Ishmael, under which Ishmael is the one who is hindering the development of reforms.

You know I gave up any candidacy to make way for a consensual candidate, who I thought was Mr. Fehmi Mujota, with whom I firmly believed we would win local elections. However, the current chairman of the Shtime municipality, Naim Ismajli, with several PDK branch members in Shtime, decided that local elections would continue with the government's already gone and again on its fourth consecutive candidacy!!” said Rashiit.

He has said that on August 22nd he will announce his position on further engagement.

“will be a supporter of all parties as independent, but for now I cannot disclose the position, this will be public with August 22nd”, he has said.

Despite this, Rashi has not denied that he could be an independent candidate in the local elections to be held.

Honored citizens of the Shtime municipality, sympathetic members of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, broad political spectrum, intellectuals, representatives of civil society, written and electronic media, were sorry that from 6 .8. 2017 I have resigned irrevocable from the post of PDK chairmanship, as well as from the post of deputy chairman of the Shpeja municipality. I took this step not easy for me because with a group of friends inside The PDK has been trying for years to make positive and democratic changes, but the current head of the Shtime municipality, Naim Ismaili, with several PDK Branch members in Shtime, decided to continue with the local elections with the government contingent already exceeded and again on its fourth consecutive candidacy!! Based on the results of the last elections, it was a good alarm to make radical reforms to move safely with the next victory, while me and some members of the Headship were deeply interested in making real reforms for possible mayoral candidates. I suggest that I gave up any candidacy to make way for a consensual candidate, who I believe was Mr. Fehmi Mujota, with whom I firmly believed we would win local elections. That didn't happen and I don't know why! I use this opportunity to thank all the citizens of the Entrance municipality for co-operating in our common walk these 18 years with all the challenges, difficulties and successes we had during our activities wherever they were. I am truly grateful for all your commitments. You are the greatest wealth and pride in my life.
