Four people were beaten in three months, all cases unresolved

The member of a political party, the prison director, the director of a research newspaper on the internet and a minister's wife have fallen victim to violence within three months in Kosovo.

Authors of attacks on four public faces: Arbana Jarra, Sokol Zogaj, Parim Oluri and Vitore Stavileci have not yet been identified, even though the attacks on Jarras, Zogaj and Ollur have taken place more than ten days.

The attacks on public faces that rocked Kosovo society in 2017 began in May. In the morning May 13th, Democratic Party of Kosovo member (PDK), Arbana Jarra was going to her apartment; when she was approaching the entrance of her apartment, she was physically attacked by several people.

The injuries Jarra suffered were severe. The former editor-in-chief of “Zit” received treatment at the University Clinical Centre and its situation is now stable.

The attack on Jarra was the whole society. The attack on it was named <x0bar” “unacceptable”. Although part of a political party, all parties condemned the attack on PDK member.

Three months passed, the perpetrators of the attack on Jarra were not identified. But after three months, Kosovo society was rocked by two more attacks that took place in one day. On August 16 Two other public persons were physically assaulted.

One attack occurred on the morning of this day, the one to Kosovo Correcting Service Director Sokol Zogaj, while the other occurred when Gazeta Online Director Inseder Parim Oluri was attacked.

Zogaj was brutally beaten by two people before his residence in Pristina in the morning hours of 16 August. He was immediately sent to an emergency to receive medical treatment. For several days, the Kosovo prison director remained in the hospital.

“Today, about 7: 00 a.m., leaving his residence in Pristina, from persons so far unknown has been brutally attacked by the Kosovo Director General's Task Agent Sokol Zogaj. The justice ministry strongly condemns the brutal attack on Zogaj”, said in a Justice Ministry report confirming the attack.

As the attack on Zogaj had received great attention and was severely condemned by members of political parties, civil society and high state institutions officials, another physical attack took place in the capital. This time the director of Insider, Parim Oluri, suffered.

He was physically assaulted by some. The attack on him took place in Pristina, near his residence, around 10:00.

At the time of the attack, Oluri was also accompanied by his wife, who has allied herself. The director of the investigative newspaper, as well as his wife, received the necessary treatment at QKUK that night.

Twelve days after this assault, August 28, The fourth attack in Kosovo occurred within three months.

Monday afternoon was physically attacked by two suspected persons -- Vitore Stavileci, the wife of PDK member and Economic Development Minister Blerand Stavileci.

The case occurred around 2:00 in the Veterrnik neighbourhood in Pristina.

President Hashim Thaci and Prime Minister Isa Mustafa reacted to the physical attack on Vitore Stavileci. They express regret for the attack on her until they sought to clear the case of the justice organs. /Insider. com
