Hundreds of thousands in Barcelona have marched against Islamist militants who left 15 people dead in terrorist attacks last week.
The marchers have also joined Spain's King Felipe VI and local Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy. The king is the first Spanish sovereign to join such a march since the restoration of the monarchy in the '70s.
Emergency workers and shop staff who helped during the attack in Las Ramblas also took an important place in this march.
The protest began under the slogan “I am not afraid”, while others condemned Islamophobia. The August 17th attacks, where a van stormed those present in Las Ramblas, were taken to the authorship by the Islamic State.
A cell of 12 jihadists was blamed for the attack, 8 of which are already dead, while 4 are submitted to court in Madrid.
