Political subjects have made all preparations to present candidates for mayors. Competition will be among the candidates of political parties around Kosovo.

From Democracy Plus, they say the tight race will take place in the Pristina municipality between the LDK and Vetevendosje.

While, from GAP, they say some of the mayors have more advantage because of the performance shown during the past four-year term.

Strong competition is also expected at the largest centres, such as Gjakova, Ferizaj and Prizren.

Political parties often run the current mayors, as they are better acquainted with the problems of the municipality, but this is not a guarantee that they will receive support for yet another mandate.
